Crysis is a first person shooter game series created by German developer Crytek. The first game came out in November 13 2007 and has become a cult classic to many first person shooter fans. The last game to come out of the series was Crysis 3 which released on February 19 2013. Now it has been confirmed that a remaster of the first game is coming to all platforms including the Nintendo Switch. This has left some fans worried as Crysis is quite the demanding game in terms of hardware limitations. As of right now there is no official release date as for the game itself.
Animal Crossing has been one of Nintendo’s top selling franchises. After the release of the nintendo switch fans have been eager to get their hands on a brand new Animal Crossing game for the console. The last game in the series to come out was Animal Crossing: New Leaf which released in November of 2012. So it has been quite a while since that last game. This year however, was the release year for the latest Animal Crossing called New Horizon. The game officially came out this March 3rd and has been met both critical and financial success. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become one of Nintendo’s top selling switch games by surpassing all Mario and Zelda titles. Now its on its way to become the best selling game on the switch.
Ever since the release of Horizon Zero Dawn in 2017 it has become a financial and critical success for Sony. So its now wonder that they would want profit more off of it with creating sequels. As of right now there official announcement for more games. However, according to VGC Sony has made a statement that they wish to publish more games. They have also stated that they’re wont likely be another game until after the PS5 releases. This is likely due to the fact that they said that the next game will likely be “gigantic”. But they have confirmed that they are looking to expanding the series from the first game had built on such as co op.
Just this morning Ed Boon and Netherrelm Studios drop a trailer featuring a brand new DLC expansion for Mortal Kombat 11 called Aftermath. The DLC will provide a new story experience that is set to take place after the main games original story. This expansion will also come with new playable characters, new cosmetics and finishers for all players to experience. It currently unclear whether the new playable be come with the story expansion or be sold separately since the previous DLC characters were not released simultaneously. The DLC is said to release on May 26th on all platforms.
After the announcement of the Summer Games Fest players have been eager to learn more about what to expect for the next four months. Just yesterday the official website for Summer Games Fest was updated to show everyone whats coming within the next few weeks. First is the Inside Xbox on May 7 which will give an exclusive look at the Xbox Series X. Next on May 12 Geoff Keighley will host a live stream to announce a brand new game. After that going into June we will have a Steam Game Festival, which will announce a new line up of games only for the PC. In June 11 Cyperpunk will drop a brand new trailer for the game for fans to experience. And lastly, EA will host a live stream that will showcase their line up of games on the 11th as well.
On May the fourth the development studio Respawn, just dropped a very large free update for Jedi Fallen Order. This update consist of new content for the player to experience such as custom made challenges. Also the update consist of new cosmetics for the player to use for their character. And finally the update will contain basic quality of life improvements. The team also extended their thanks to the fans for their endless support and wished to give them the update as a gift on the Star Wars celebration day.
Microsoft has recently announced that they will begin to pump out more information on the Xbox Series X each month until launch. They also confirmed that Halo Infinite will be a Xbox exclusive launch title this holiday. With this fans begin to expect more content and information on launch title line up and exclusives regularly until the consoles launch. The Xbox Series X will release this holiday season in 2020.
With the next generation consoles just around the corner, fans have been eager to learn more about them. There is still a lot that we don’t know about such as pricing, launch titles, backwards compatibility etc. But just recently it was officially announced by Microsoft that there will be a online event that will cover all the consumer needs for the Xbox Series X. It has already been confirmed that this event will reveal games that will simultaneously release along with the console. The event will take place this Thursday at 11 am est and 8 pm pst.
With the coronavirus pandemic not seemingly slowing down, more gaming events have been canceled than ever before. However just two days ago Geoff Keighly announced that he would be hosting a newly formed gaming event called Summer Game Fest. It is a long term online event that will take place within the next four months. It will consist of many game publisher and corporations that will be showing off their new game line ups for the next couple of years. Many companies have already sighed up for the event such as Square Enix, Bethesda, Bandi Namco, and of course Sony and Microsoft. Geoff has yet to relay any more information as of now but this is still exiting news non the less.
Just last week Ubisoft has revealed a new triple is in the works, and sure enough it turned out to be a brand new Assassins Creed game called Valhalla. Assassins Creed has proven to be one of Ubisoft’s most profitable franchises with its fun action and stealth gameplay. It’s been known that the series tends to tackle specific history events as a setting. This time the series is going to take on the age of the vikings. There is not a lot that is known for this game at the moment however Ubisoft has said that game with take a more RPG approach this time around. The game is slated to release this holiday season on Xbox and Playstation.
